My site visits with Professor Rachwalkski went well overall. We each took turns going through our H&Ps. During the presentation, he would ask each of us what our thoughts were on the patient being presented. He asked us about our differentials, what tests we would order, and the treatment.

He also placed emphasis on our experiences at the site. He encouraged us to continue to do as many procedures as possible. He encouraged us to suture, place catheters, NG tubes, and anything else we could get our hands on. 

My first H&P’s needed work, as I discussed with Professor Rachwolski.  We met over Zoom to review the differences in documentation between institutions and other errors in my SOAP note. 

Over the two site visits, Professor Rachwolski helped me improve my documentation, and I feel more confident documenting a SOAP note, considering we are mostly writing H&P’s on other rotations . Professor Rachwolski appreciated my presentation on Transoral Endoscopic thyroidectomies.
