Site Visit Reflection
My site visit with Fahim Sedat went well overall. He started by asking us about the day-to-day activities of each of our clinics. He also shared some experiences of his own with us from his time in the Emergency Room.
At this visit, I presented a 28 y/o M with a PMH of HSV2 who wants to know when he could have sex again without transmitting the virus to his partner. Fahim explained to me that I need to add “Jock itch” to my differential diagnosis because, in the ER, he has seen many cases of HSV2 that resemble “Jock itch”.
I presented an article called Herpes Simplex Type 2. The article states that the entire course of an HSV2 virus takes about 19 days. Fahim appreciated me informing him of this information.
